Welcome to our Mousam Lake "G.A.R. Camp"* cottages. These are
located in the southwestern Maine lake region area in the small town of Shapleigh.
The cottages sit on the all-day sunny
side of what is locally referred to as
Upper Mousam. This is the widest, deepest (88 ft) and most desirable
area of the entire lake, which is about 7 miles long and 1 mile wide at this
widest point.
We have two rental properties available, referring to them as the 4 bedroom
President Lincoln and the 3 bedroom General
Sheridan. Being the oldest or first cottages on the lake, built
back in 1893, it's safe to presume a perfect location. Very sandy, clear
and clean swimming including your own private frontage and dock. The
cottages are distinctly separate from each other BUT the possibility of
renting them "together" for larger family gatherings is most
definitely possible. We have even had weddings, receptions and then the
honeymoon!
Quickly speaking, price range wise, we can possibly accommodate your needs for
anywhere from about $100/night (3 night minimum) depending on the number in
your group, to $1600/week.
